Exciting Employment Opportunities at Majuro Cooperative School

Several openings for teachers in 2008-9 for grades 1-9 and for a teacher/administrator for our new high school program:

*Applications are invited from individuals with training and background in school administration and program development as well teaching background in grades 5-12. The successful candidate will work closely with principal, Board of Directors, and staff in the development of a ninth grade curriculum for potential expansion of school offerings. Candidate will also have some teaching responsibilities.
* Applications are invited for teachers at the elementary level and for a Social Studies teacher for students in grades 6-9. Experience necessary and certification desirable.
*Applications should include a detailed curriculum vita, copies of academic qualifications, indication of possible starting date, and available references from three most recent employers/supervisors. Marshall Islands: Stakeholders Consulted in Educational Reform Project Briefing Paper Slide Presentation:
A pilot project to improve education in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI), points to the need for all segments of society to be involved in the reform process. The mid-term findings of the project, sponsored by Asian Development Bank (ADB) in cooperation with the RMI Ministry of Education, were released last month, in the briefing paper, "Issues and Options for Improving Education in the RMI." This study declared that the Majuro Cooperative School achieves the best standardized test scores in the RMI.
